From
2nd April 2002, SolentSteel Engineering LTD purchased the Glass Tempering
and Metallurgical Furnace Business from EFCO LTD , a member of the BMT
Group.
The
Assets deal comprises : the fixed assets, stocks, the people and some
contracts.
Solent Steel Engineering formed a new Company named ‘ EFCO FURNACES
LTD ‘ which will sell Metallurgical and Tempering Furnaces into
the international market place.
The deal represents an opportunity for Solent to extend their presence
in the electric furnace business by virtue of their presence activities
in manufacturing furnaces for the Micro- Electronics industry.
The BMT group continues to sell and manufacture its proprietary ‘
Float Roof furnaces ‘ and ‘ Heat Balance Systems ‘ through
their ‘ EFCO Float Systems ‘ division.
